Life Coaching

There is no great mystery to life coaching; it is simply a means of exploring the choices we really wish to make and uncovering the reasons why we are having difficulty in making them.  The advantage of doing so with an external person, particularly a qualified life coach, is that we are skilled in asking the questions that help to uncover your deepest desires and we are able to support you in an unbiased and non-prejudicial way.  All your coach wants is for you to create a life that you love.

My approach to coaching blends my training and experience as a qualified life coach, yoga teacher, and further education instructor, along with decades of personal self-discovery, and focuses on mind, body and spirit to help you achieve a truly meaningful life.  I provide a framework of help and support enabling you to consider choices that keep your life moving forward in a focused and balanced way.

I am happy to work with you on a single issue, something that has perhaps been holding you back for a while, and which has now risen sufficiently that you want to do something about it, though my passion lies in helping you to choose to live the best experience of your life that you possibly can - to uncover your enthusiasm for life - to help you breathe energy into your life so that you can live a life filled with purpose and joy.

Coaching is a process of talking, questioning and listening that helps us to look closely at ourselves, often for the first time.  It helps us to discover what we would really like to do with our lives; how and where we would like to live; in what ways we can earn our living whilst at the same time really enjoying our work.  Most importantly, coaching gets to the roots of who we really are.

Coaching is an interesting process of learning about ourselves and ensuring we are living to our full potential.  Living happy and fulfilled lives not only benefits us but all those we come into contact with.  In essence, it helps us ensure that we are having the best experience of our lives and does so in a completely confidential and non-judgemental way.

I'm not a business coach - though am happy to coach individuals within organisations - simply put, I don’t care about your profit margin - I care about the people that make up an organisation/group of friends/family/our world; my bottom line is whether or not you are living true to your values, with passion and excitement for the things that inspire you.

As a practitioner of yoga, filled with fascination and wonder for its philosophy, I also have the understanding that who you are deep inside is all that you need to be.  It is our conditioning, circumstances, and habits (Samskara) that sometimes pull us off track, or make us feel 'less than’, but when you realise that nothing about you needs to change, you can let go of the struggle and life will flow with you in amazing ways.

“You are what your deep, driving desire is.

As your desire is, so is your will.

As your will is, so is your deed.

As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

The Upanishads, Easwaran, p114
